Amira joined Community Impact in January 2023 after graduating with a degree in journalism from Texas University in San Marcos. She previously worked as a reporter at the Hays Free Press and interned at Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine. She also had the opportunity to work with the Associated Press during the 2020 Election. When she is not covering local news, she enjoys taking her paddle board out on the San Marcos River. She also enjoys staying active with CrossFit and yoga, reading and photography.
