Richard Gaines is a Texas-based visual artist, photographer, and storyteller whose work blends Americana, psychedelic surrealism, and narrative portraiture into richly atmospheric scenes. Drawing inspiration from winding hiking trails, storm-lit skies, wildflowers, sunflowers, creek beds, and the quiet poetry of rural landscapes, his art explores the intersection of memory, imagination, music, and the natural world. He is also a Hike Leader/ Photographer for Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge.
