Liz Tashakori
I graduated University of Houston with a BBA in Marketing and had a career as a Certified Purchasing Manager for several manufacturing firms before I retired and moved to Canyon Lake in 2019. My first art show was at the Tomball Library in 2018. I am widowed with two grown daughters, a puppy and a kitty and a fiancé.
I have always enjoyed creating. I have had several of my photographs displayed in the New Braunfels
Magazine. I have done many acrylic paintings and I started numbering and logging my creations in 2019. I have painted and sold numerous river rocks along with canvases. I have sold sketches of pets.
For Christmas I have taught how to make German Bells and I made some melted crayon on etched glass scenes last Christmas. I recently sold some abstract watercolors. I think my prices are very affordable.
I joined The Canyon Lake Art Guild in February 2020 and I love to cook so I worked on the CLAG Cookbook
I was the Community Display Coordinator prior to joining the Executive Board as VP#2 and Secretary. I have been in charge of the last 3 Lasting Impressions Shows and Chairman of the Taste and Talent Art Shows. I worked closely with the Friends of the Library to produce another T&T show May 16, 2026.
In October 2025 I designed and managed our mural project for which CLAG got Non Profit of the year.
For future I will be working with the Greater New Braunfels Art Council to bring more opportunities to the
members of the Canyon Lake Art Guild where I have made many new friends and I am proud to invite others to join us.
