I am an award-winning photographer with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, where I specialized in photojournalism and fine art photography. With over thirty years of experience across both the private and public sectors, my work has been published in a range of notable magazines and newspapers, including Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Highways, Texas Monthly, Southern Living, National Geographic Traveler, the Austin American-Statesman, New York Times, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, and various published books.
Currently, I serve as the chief photographer and photo archivist for Texas Parks and Wildlife, where I also contribute video content for the Texas Parks and Wildlife television show.
Throughout my career, I’ve been honored with numerous local, state, and national awards. In 2017, I received a Lone Star Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In 2024, I was inducted into the Muy Grande Hall of Fame for my contributions to outdoor and nature photography in Texas.
